Debutants

The Swifts gave debuts to four new players against York, Australians Nick McDowell and Jon Collinson. Nick found himself starting in the slightly unaccustomed role of Stand Off and Jon was on the bench, also on debut were 17 year olds Simon Brook and Will Brook Taylor both look great prospects for the future.

Start of a new season 2006/2007  

Pre-season training is now in full swing, the swifts are currently preparing for the season ahead on Tuesday and Thursdays from 7pm at the Bay Athletic Sports Ground, New Hey Road opposite the Spotted Cow Public House.  

After finishing in a respectable mid table position last season we are hopeful of a genuine promotion challenge. With several new young players having joined the squad during the summer we should have more strength in depth across all positions.
